After an overwhelmingly successful inaugural year, the Mastercard Gamer Academy will be back in 2025 to continue providing passionate gamers with the tools and guidance they need to kickstart their career in esports.Knowing where and how to start your dream career isn’t easy, which is where we come in.
10 successful applicants will have the opportunity to take part in a year-long program that covers the entire esports industry, from competitive pro-play and team management, to learning how to create stand-out marketing campaigns with content that redefines the industry. Through online workshops, in-person bootcamps, and going backstage at some of the biggest esports events of the year, the Mastercard Gamer Academy provides an experience unlike any other to equip you with the knowledge and skills to excel in your career.

The Mastercard Gamer Academy will provide 10 people with the incredible opportunity to discover the wide range of career paths the esports industry has to offer.
Participants will gain a diverse perspective through hands-on training, mentorship, access to professional esports athletes and on-site learning at major esports events.
This ten-month Academy will include:
- Two (2) in-person trips to Berlin to visit the G2 Esports HQ and Training Facility
- One (1) in-person trip to attend VALORANT Champions
- One (1) in-person trip to attend the League of Legends World Championship Final
- A wide range of digital mentorship sessions with Academy ambassadors
